Middle East Sight is fully operated by volunteers and interns remotely from around the world. Applicants must have an eye on politics, human rights, and regional dynamics, an excellent command of written English, and must be looking to publish their work to the world.

 

Current Vacancies

 

Reporter on UN Sustainable Development Goals and Global Compact (Middle East and North Africa)  

Area: International Cooperation, International Affairs, UN Studies 

 

The holder of this position will be unpacking governments' engagement in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Global Compact and reporting on the progress of relevant ministries and stakeholders in achieving these goals. 

Sponsorship and Resource Acquisition Officer

Area: Marketing and Advertising, Partnering, Grants Management

The holder of this position will support the sustainability and expansion of Middle East Sight. S/he will explore funding opportunities, develop proposals, concept notes, and lead Middle East Sight's relationships with donors and sponsors.

 

Conflict Analyst (Syria, Yemen)  

Area: Conflict Analysis, War Reporting, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Syria and Yemen portfolios, analyze motives, developments, as well as power dynamics domestically and regionally. 

Researcher (Lebanon, Turkey)

Area: Journalism, International Affairs, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Lebanon and Turkey protfolios, gather and document information from relevant sources (civil society, political and/or human rights activists, etc.), connect and conduct interviews with public figures, politicans, and decision makers at the local and national/central levels. 

Researcher (Morocco, Tunisia)

Area: Journalism, International Affairs, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Morocco and Tunisia protfolios, gather and document information from relevant sources (civil society, political and/or human rights activists, etc.), connect and conduct interviews with public figures, politicans, and decision makers at the local and national/central levels. 

Researcher (Egypt, Jordan)

Area: Journalism, International Affairs, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Egypt and Jordan protfolios, gather and document information from relevant sources (civil society, political and/or human rights activists, etc.), connect and conduct interviews with public figures, politicans, and decision makers at the local and national/central levels.

Researcher (Bahrain, Iraq) 

Area: Journalism, International Affairs, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Bahrain and Iraq protfolios, gather and document information from relevant sources (civil society, political and/or human rights activists, etc.), connect and conduct interviews with public figures, politicans, and decision makers at the local and national/central levels. 

Researcher (Saudi Arabia, Iran)

Area: Journalism, International Affairs, Political Science 

 

The holder of this position will lead the Saudi Arabia and Iran protfolios, gather and document information relating to human rights violations and social justice issues.
